Q. How secure will my belongings be? What kind of security do you have?

A. We have a sophisticated video surveillance system and a gate access system that allows only those with authorized access to enter the site. The site is completely fenced and each tenant is responsible for their own lock. In addition, during business hours, we have on-site managers to control access and assist our tenants.

Q. How long of a term am I locked into?

A. The agreement is monthly and you can leave at any time after the first month.

Q. Is storage expensive?

A. As there are various size units available we are sure you will be able to find one that fits your budget and requirements.

Q. Do I need insurance?

A. At Vanguard Self Storage, insurance is mandatory for every tenant. We provide $25,000 content coverage for a reasonable value of $5.00 per month. If you decline our insurance, you must provide us a copy of your policy stating that you are covered at a storage facility. We do not provide coverage for some items you may wish to store such as cars, boats or recreational toys.

Q. How often is rent due?

A. Rent is due monthly on the anniversary date of your lease which is the date you first moved in. If you moved in on the 5th, your rent will be due on the 5th of every month.

Q. What methods of payment are acceptable?

A. At Vanguard Self Storage you can pay by Debit Card, VISA, Mastercard, or personal cheque with proper ID. Although cash is accepted, we would prefer one of the above methods of payment. For your convenience, you can pre-authorize us to charge your credit card monthly which will help you avoid any late fees.

Q. Are there any discounts?

A. Yes, check the website for current discounts or ask any of our Staff. Depending on our current promotions, you could be eligible for prepayment discounts, senior or student discounts. We also offer a referral reward program.

Q. Where can I find supplies to help me with my move?

A. Look no further than our moving store for a wide selection of moving, packing and storage supplies. Our staff will also be able to help you with packing solutions and suggestions.
